Short answer, no (IMO). But, if the line is set wrong or/and the left side of the course is a loser a second row start at the boat is better than front row pin end in my opinion. I can't imagine a second row start ever being part of my plan A starting strategy, plan B is another story. Yes plan B and I are very familiar with each other.
