I realize this is a much older post, but am posting anyway in case a new user has a similar problem. The aluminum tubes in question are much bigger than the opening for the shock cord. I haven't measured them but I would say they're around 1/2 - 3/

I think Texel has an up-to-date spreadsheet and calculator which you can use to generate a rating for unknown cats. Handicap sailing is always a bit tricky in terms of keeping everyone happy but IMHO Texel is a very fair system.

"motorized" I believe is the key word. At any rate, one week ago North beach was recommended to me by a very nice lady pretty high up in the local heirarchy. I promised her I would use it and see what happens. Wanna get together Sunday

Pineland got rebuilt with a new ramp after Charley. Many years ago there was a place on the way to the causeway called Bunch Beach. Unforutunately, Lee County blocked it off.

Jeremy.... those sailors who get creative with their boats... don't use up volunteer time! They pay to get their boat measured. Volunteers are needed to get the race data... send the race data in... Track down regattas that haven't sent in race dat

Most of the above has been talked about at length. Crew weight. For resons explained at length, we use the average height and weight, I think from the WHO via the ISAF technical Director. We have discussed adding "crew weight factors"

I like the way the narrator says that having a heavy catamaran is good. I'm not so sure about that.
