I recently received the following email from the president of Velocitek .... it doesn't say where in FL the device was found; only that it was before XMAS. Maybe from Steeplechase? Here is the mail:

"P.S. A thoughtful southern gentleman named Billy contacted us last Thursday regarding a fully-functional SC-1 he found washed up in Florida sometime before Christmas. If you think this unit might belong to you or someone you know, please send me an email or give me a call so I can put you in touch with Billy."

I guess if nothing else, this should be a testament to the watertight integrity of his product!

Since we are contemplating butts:

We might come down to Dunedin this Sunday for the distance race.

Any idea how many boats might be there?

And since you don't intend to race...how about just tagging along?

There were 10-20 sailors on the beach on new years day (when i arrived, maybe others had left already)... but i am sure many stayed home since they knew it would be canceled.

i would expect about 15 cats or so...

I plan to be there.. not sure what you mean tag along... if you mean chase the racers.. i doubt it... there will be a power chase boat (Bob Barton) this year..
