It was bound to happen...sailing in shallow waters and the rudder assembly broke (not sure what you call this part). Pictures attached.

1. Does anyone know if Mystere still sells spare parts and where they can be reached?

2. Maybe someone has this part laying around and you're willing to sell?

3. What about welding?

Thanks!

Thomas

Just wondering if you found your rudder assembly part ? I just bought a 6.0 from S.C. here in FL. & am trying to re-rig all lines and cables . Have the tramp being restitched . The sails are North , and in near perfect cond.

That pot metal crumbles like the toy cars in the olden days.

I would be very interested in hearing your comments on the positive and negative differences between a P19 and a M6.0!

I am not sure about that casting but I know for certain that Nacra6.0 casting often last longer in the welded spot. That is a sensative area though with the cam right there try it what the heck

P19 was definitely an easier boat to sail. Nicely balanced as well. M6.0 has been a much faster boat, but a pain with weather helm and rudder system. Still have a lot to learn on the M6 though...

I just broke a rudder assembly today in a slightly different location and was reading this on the forum and wondering what you did for a repair. Im wondering if I should switch to another manufacturers rudder assembly and try to adapt it, or have something machined up? My model is a mystere 5.5 any thougts that someone can suggest would be helpful!
