The online manual (older) for the Infusion setup does not show the same blocks that actually ship with the boat now (HC8454 on the traveler up to HC7668 on the boom). Has anyone found a reeving diagram that is helpful?

Thanks

This is the system that shipped with the Infusion: http://www.harken.com/OneDesign/tornado.php

This is the best picture I can find, but it's almost impossible to follow:

Remember that the top block should be at 90 degrees to the main lower block, every one tries to line them up above each other

as macca told me "work in towards the guts!"

First bit is the hardest to work out if you don't know how to do it, the old system on the manual and this new one reve up the same at first except that the double in the middle has been moved out to each side.

Thanks but I was really hoping to find a clear diagram. I do know that the top blocks should be perpendicular to the lower blocks but both top and bottom should rotate freely, right? Harken includes little metal "limiters" that can be used to keep them from rotating. I know I'll want the lower blocks to rotate freely but what about the uppers?

Good question guys....

When we did the manual it was prior to the newer style Harken blocks coming out.

I will see if I can get a new demo done up.

As a tip in the meantime:

Always have the top block at 90deg to the bottom one.

Start at the cleat (through the ratchet backwards)

go through the back sheave on the top block

then on the side sheave on the bottom (from the back side towards the front)

then to the front sheave on the top block

then to the bottom block (side, line goes from front to back)

from here its herd to go wrong, you just follow your way from the back towards the front.

Harken just sent me a 10:1 reeving guide for the Infusion mainsheet setup I have. It's too big to attach to this post so let me know if you want it and I can email it to you.

Sorry for asking. Have my boat miles away and need to order new mainsheet. What length are you using (I remember it to be 13.5 meter? but it sounds lengthy) provided you use it back-to-back. Also, am I right in assuming tapering would be arround 3 meters to be able to lock it upwind in full swing and outside tapered area (using normal mast rake).

Cheers,
Jonas
