Well, I guess you are right. But this Administration and Congress has bogged down in this incipid healthcare debate.
HEY at least Charlie Rangel is taking the pipe. He'll probably only lose his chairmanship which is a slap in the face to all the ordinary folks serving time or paying interest and penalties for doing THE EXACT SAME THING.
Here is a new game, I have a client who just got their medical policy renewal. The plan is a PPO (preferred provider organization) $ 2000/$ 4000 in-network/out of network DEDUCTIBLE, then 20% in network to $3,000 or 40% out of network to $ 8,000 with a 1 million out of network lifetime cap. 100% for preventative care and includes vision and prescription up to $2,000.
The cost for this family of 4 (husband and wife have just turned 50)........ $ 2,466.73 per month.
Anyone beat that?

I appreciate you posting that. It is funny though that they went after Clinton just for lying about a hummer and the mainstream media wont touch this subject. Nobody's whipping a dead horse on this one. They gotta find the horse first.

"McCarthy had much of Washington intimidated, until one day he was just a sorry alcoholic with no sense of decency. Gingrich boasted that after his revolution, Medicare would "wither on the vine"; instead, it was his movement that withered. [...] In 1995, Clinton -- a political shape-shifter who was more capable of an angry populist response than Obama is -- understood the value of remaining cool, constant, and presidential, slowly regaining the initiative. Obama's measured tones and cautious response can be infuriating at the moment and may lead to tactical errors. But the proper response to the latest fad of right-wing populism is neither to bow down to it like Broder nor to run around trying to figure out how to equal it from the left. It is to hold to a straight line, do what's right in the short term, and have confidence in the longer term." The End Of The Tea Party

"The hottest ticket in the Republican Party is Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and the party's 2008 vice presidential nominee. In a recent column, George Will compared her insurgent libertarianism to that of Goldwater's, which electrified the Right in 1964. Fair enough. But Goldwater served for 30 years as a respected insider in Washington's most exclusive club, the U.S. Senate; he was never interested in cultural and social issues; resentment and rage were alien to him. Palin's style and appeal are closer to Wallace's." It's George Wallace's GOP Now

"Jim Bunning, a Republican from Kentucky, is single-handedly blocking Senate action needed to prevent an estimated 1.2 million American workers from prematurely losing their unemployment benefits next month.
As Democratic senators asked again and again for unanimous consent for a vote on a 30-day extension Thursday night, Bunning refused to go along.
And when Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) begged him to drop his objection, Politico reports, Bunning replied: "Tough s**t."
Screw'em! Right Sparky? Right Todd? Right Two Dollar? Just screw 'em.

I would joing the tea baggers if they adopted a rational agenda. I truly believe it is time to get control of Washington and that it must be done from the grass roots.
If they came together to push repeal of the income tax,a balanced budget, and Presidential line item veto I believe they'd win.
