Wave North American Championships, Pensacola Beach, FL.

FIrst day:
In light and shifty winds, Tom Whitehurst was first around the weather mark, with Sharon Woodruff and Rick White hounding him. Around the leeward mark the positions were the same, but Rick White outpointed the two leaders to take first place. Mike Pedersen moved up nicely to take second at the finish, with Woodruff taking 3rd and Whitehurst was 4th.

Second race had an extremely starboard favored line. White was OCS and was in last place as the entire fleet was able to lay the first mark without tacking. White footed off to get into some wind.., any wind, sailing below the layline. Oddly enough there was a big shift to the left about two thirds up the course and White moved into 3rd place. Meanwhile, in the lead was Whitehurst, followed by Pedersen. And that was how they finished.

The last race of the day had White nailing a port end start and walked away from the fleet with an easy victory. Sailmaker Hunter Riddle was always nearby and took 2nd place, with Pedersen in 3rd and Whitehurst in 4th
