For a few months (yes - months), I've been trying to contact a real person at Mystere and find out if they can send me a tuning guide and/or parts catalog. I've also told them that I'm looking to buy a new main for my 6.0 and that I'd like a quote. Sent emails, left messages. No response - zip - nada. I know things are slow after October, but what's up overthere...do they completely shut down in the winter??? Can anyone tell me?

Same here...no response. I did get one back in September. I asked about the price for a new upper rudder casting. When I complained about how they had TRIPLED the price since last fall, dead silence. I've written several times...dead silence. I thought they were ignoring me due to my complaint. I guess they're ignoring all of us.

Maybe you have to speak French.

Hi,
it's all the same with Mystere in france. No reply.
May be they don't want to sell boats in the future?

Ok - maybe this forum does have secret powers. Got an email back this morning:

"We have to move the factory twice un 6 weeks and I just recover this morning the internet. But now we have new facility we are working on the web side. I will ask again xxxxxxxx to send you the catalog right away. Very sorry for the delay I wil take this complain personly and I will make sure it won't happen again..."

Us Mystere sailors (and other catsailors as well I guess) know that our manufacturer is not a mega corporation, so we understand they have disruptions and we may even put up with disruptions in service. If they would just COMMUNICATE what's going on, it would alleviate a lot of aggrevation....
Let's move on now...I hope everyone else on this forum gets an answer to their inquiries as well...

As far as I know thier is no manual on the 6.0 , Mike Murphy has put some specs on the boat at Yahoo groups and Robbie Daniels had a brief flyer on it for the Alter Cup 93'as the choosen boat. After last years Steeple chase I put some prebend in the mast and raked it aft a little this helped the pointing immensely. For speed you must fall off ( I am a chronic pincher in big wind 18->knts)and let the boat eat it is a very powerful boat but like every boat out there it has a groove that the skipper must find ( I am still looking constantly for it).

I got a private email defending the honor of the "home office". It went something like this (edited)...

"....my rudder cracked and i got one in less than one week.i know that mystere move thier place to boisbriand i called yesterday and a girl took the phone...by the way since oct. the girl also said that the com. has 30.000 sq feet and all production will be done better and faster.as i was saying i have no problem.... and im convinced that we will have good service..thank you"

OK, if that's the case maybe we should all write and ask for a 2006 price list. They can't be upset if we all all interested in their product, can they?
