Anyone running an I20 chute on a Mystere 6.0? I would like to hear measurements for the spin pole length?

With my standard Mystere spinny pole (that came with the really big old chute that sheets to the rear beam), I find my bows got dragged down big time...

That's the factory sq footage recomendation 270 should work like a charm ,blocks on the stays and a 12foot pole it may have to have the hound dropped if you are useing a mast head chute now....working on the same thing Blue I20 chute.......Catman is king on the chute though!

I'm running a EO snuffer (same as the I-20's) that is 12' 2'' in length (I believe). I don't know the square footage of my spinnaker, but it's a smaller one.

I have 3 spinnakers that came with my boat when I bought it. The two larger ones use rear beam blocks and I've never liked the performance. I've gone back to the smaller spinnaker (with blocks off of the side stays) and found it to work much better. I could be doing something completely wrong, of course, so I might not be the best person to get advice from.

I'll try to get some measurements on the spinnaker the next time I take them out of the bag.

My main spinnaker problem is that the one I like to use doesn't go completely to the spinaker halyard block at the top, so I don't think it's a stock "Mystere" blessed spinnaker. I have to leave about 12" of slack at the tack in order to get the spinnaker to travel to the halyard block with proper luff tension (a handful of "give"). Not sure if that is good or bad. It seems to be working well . .. so .. . I'll just go with it.

It sounds like you just need to raise the pole up. Seems like a bit much to have the tack of the sail a foot away from the end of the pole. Maybe someone with a "I" will comment on how long their tack line is.

I think that will work. I'm using a Tornado Chute and it's way better than those big monsters. The only thing those are good for is going deep in a big blow.

My pole is 13ft, a stock M6.0 pole. That is the same as a Tornado.

If you like I'll measure the luff of the sail for you.

I'm also running a Tornado chute. Works fine.

1. Any idea which Brand or type, area works better? 21 or 27m2? Hobie's 20 spinaker kit or Tiger kit?

Any spinnaker snuffer systems in particular I should look at?
