What is EPE-Flex™?
OMI’s patent-pending, ground-breaking dock cushion bumper outperforms traditional molded plastics. Cushion bumpers act as a “gel-like pillow” for superior boat protection.
-
UV-protected Polyurethane Exterior
Durable, non-marring, impenetrable, fully encapsulated marine-grade skin.
-
UV-protected Expanded Polyethylene Interior
Interior constructed entirely of flexible EPE for superior resiliency (“cushion effect”). Interior will not snap or break.
Why use EPE-Flex™ over traditional dock bumpers?
Molded dock bumpers have hollow interiors and do not adequately protect from impact. When cracked, resiliency is lost. EPE-Flex™ behaves like gel-filled cushions protecting from impact/rub and do not crack like molded plastics.
Features unlike any other ...
Standard EPE-Flex™ Cushion Bumpers are designed for the smaller boats and residential dock applications. A variety of popular designs are available for easy mounting in providing maximum resiliency protection for your boat and dock. Our products are environmentally safe for both fresh and salt water applications.
Heavy-Duty EPE-Flex™ Cushion Bumpers are designed for heavier applications. A common issue found with traditional molded bumpers is their inability to stay on the dock upon impact or sustain heavy abuse. Heavy-Duty EPE-Flex™ Cushion Bumpers have an encapsulated flange-style stainless back plate preventing it from being ripped off the dock. Most bumpers designed for industrial or heavy applications are often rigid causing damage to boats or easily knocked off its mounting points. Combined with its flawless mounting mechanism, the bumpers are specifically designed to collapse for resiliency and retain its shape after impact.
