Earlier today I sent an email to the President of US Sailing, James Cabron, in regards to their non-support of the Tornado for the 2012 Olympics. He replied to me a little while ago, amazing considering the short time lapsed.

Rather than try to quote the entire reply, I will sum it up. He said there are many more meetings to go, nothing is final yet. He said they have no bias agains the Tornado but were trying to put in as much support for the classes they thought the US Sailing Team had the best chance of medaling in, and they are trying to level the women's events with the men's.

So the Tornado has not been dropped, but obviously they are listening so the more input they get from cat sailors, they harder time they will have -not- supporting the Tornado when the time comes for the final vote.

Mary listed the 3 email contacts somewhere on this forum, that's where I got the one I used. Thanks Mary.
