Come to Lake McConoughy in southwestern Nebraska over the Labor Day weekend. It's Hobie Div. 5 Championships and there will be 40 or more boats. The lake 18 miles long and two miles wide with a white sand beach around the entire thing. The wind blows steadily and if you didn't know better, you'd think you were on the Gulf Coast - without briny water. All first-timers to this lake are amazed that it's is in Nebraska.
