It depends on what point of sail you are on. While pointing, it shouldn't be that hard to keep from driving your leeward pontoon under. But, on any kind of reach, especially a broad reach, it is fun to sail a 16. I have a foot strap on the rear of my hull; I put one foot in the strap and the other by the rear corner casting, and have my crew sit on the rear corner casting on a reach in a good blow. If weight transfer will not keep you bow up, ease the sheet.
