Good story! I got my first Hobie 16 ride from a soon to be ex-girlfriend. I got the bug and bought a new '81 Tequila Sunrise with yellow hulls. With trailer and accessories it was under $2000. How times have changed.

I had a good time banging around and then discovered the Hobie fleet organization. I joined Fleet 20 in San Jose. I did a lot of fun sails, regattas and even ran the race committee for a number of years.

All good times that will never be forgotten.
