I really hadn't considered the Governor's cup, it seems like a bad time of year to have a regatta on a lake.
As with most lakes throughout the summer, the winds can be variable. I've been to one GovCup where there was barely a breath of wind and we only got in two races all weekend. Twice, we've had winds of 15-20kts. Most of the time, it's in between. June is early enough in the season that we usually have wind.
