Eileen, my crew, wears contacts and Barz over them. She has never had a problem with this set up and you do not have to get special prescriptions for sailing only.

If you have a problem with water spots on your glasses try a bit of Rain-X rubbed on both sides of the lenses with your fingers. Very little bit, maybe one drop.
