The gaff angle look really extreme. I would have gone for a more conventional and tested gaff angle.

I would have shortened the leech a bit. As the sail is now it looks like you will be sheeting the main block to block. How will you get under the boom when tacking/jibing?

Have you checked how your mast bends and adjusted the luff accordingly? The luff curve looks very conventional for a comptip. I would have expected max luff round to be higher?

13deg twist.. Looking forward to hear how that works out for you! It is at least enough..

The Tornado have no vang, just downhaul, outhaul and mainsheet. Would be cool if cut a suit out of sailcloth. If North can sell clothes, why not. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The gaff angle is the same as a sail for a formula 60 I sail on. The idea is to have the gaff end same height or a little higher than mast tip. Helps in depowering for gusts.
Can always cut it shorter later. Might not be an issue for small boat.
Luff matches current sail. Might have to adjust later.
Can't put mast up yet.

Attached is a picture of the top two panels and batten rienforcement tape. All made by robot. The piece of paper has a quick list of all the steps to making the Gerber cutter work on a dxf file. They don't make it easy.
Cutting more parts later.

Just reviving an old thread, wondering how this project turned out? Have you tested the sail and how do you feel about it? Photos while sailing er even from test-setting the sail?
