What's the difference between McLube and SealNGlide?

McLube you spray on.

SealNGlide actually impregnante the cloth with some sort of nano-teflon type shiz.

McLube has to be re-applied everytime practically. This stuff supposedly lasts a couple of regattas.

I have a deck launch spin, would you reccomend using it, on the spin and the bag as well. Would the benefit of the sail not retaining water be worth the time?

You might have the added trouble of keeping the sail in the bag; this stuff is slick!

Yeah I wouldn't put it on the spin if you're deck launching.

I've had a hard time just getting hold of an untreated spinny before.

This stuff isn't THAT slick until you rub it against itself.

It should be available in our On-Line Marine Store by tomorrow night. If not, it will be in there by Monday night at the latest. Just keep checking.

guys, apparently my method is a pretty good way of water-sealing your driveway at the same time. Kate told me that when she was washing the car, the water beaded up <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ive got a feeling that spring fever will be awash with hanging spins and dunk buckets. We can all stand around with a beer and watch the *NOODLE* dry.

Is it worth using this stuff on preimpreganted spins (e.g. Stock Hobie Tiger spinnakers)?

Has anyone actually done this (rather than just theorizing)?

OK, here is the whole ball of wax, so to speak:
Finally, on this site's own www.OnLineMarineStore.com we were able to get these great new products on the site. They are:
SealnGlide -- This is for sail coating to allow the sail longer endurance and slicker for spinnaker/snuffer setups, furling, etc.
http://store.catsailor.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jocplrfse8

AquaSpeed -- this is a hull application to reduce friction, and is best used in conjunction with SportPolish
http://store.catsailor.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jocpkqnqi0

LubenSpeed -- This is a general spray on lube, similar to McLube, and said to be better. To be used on all moving parts.., or parts that should move.
http://store.catsailor.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jocpmronp4

Sport Polish -- cleaner and sealer for gel coats, GFR, carbons and metals. Cleans, seals and optimizes surfaces and protects them against outside influences up to one year.

I'd like to hear my colleague's opinions on the stuff after this weekend at SF. I know I saw I think 4 chutes suspended between tree trunks at the campsite, and I doubt they were make-shift hammocks <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
