1363 Spinnaker Drive
Ventura, CA 93001
DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO RACE FROM SANTA BARBARA
TO VENTURA IN THE HARDWAY RACE (May 19th), AROUND
ANACAPA ISLAND TO PORT IN THE MILT INGRAM TROPHY RACE
(July 14th), THEN ANACAPA TO STARBOARD IN THE TRI-POINT
OCEAN RACE (August 25th)
There’s a perpetual trophy for the catamaran class in the Milt Ingram Trophy Race!
Important information: The Hardway Race starts just outside the Santa Barbara breakwater. Plan on arriving early for the Ingram and Tri-point Races because the start line is about 2.5-miles from the Ventura harbor entrance.
The skippers meetings are 8:00 a.m. for the Hardway Race and 8:30 a.m. for the other two races.
The start for the 1st class is planned for 10:00 a.m. for the Hardway Race and 11:00 a.m. for the Ingram and Tri-point Races. The wind is normally light in the morning, and you will need time to reach the start line on time.
We will use Portsmouth DPN numbers for handicapping.
Minimum safety requirements: 18 ft. LOA minimum double-handed boat, class minimum crew weight (no correctors), PFD worn by all crew, VHF radio or cell phone secured to boat or
crew, righting line, boat length painter, compass, flares, whistles, flashlight, water, and standing rigging less than 3 years old. Boats less than 18 ft. LOA may be entered with the prior permission of the Race Management Team.
There will be mandatory check-in before each start. PBYC will arrange for a dedicated safety boat for the beach catamaran class; therefore, we must receive at least five (5) pre-registered entries in order to form the class. In the event that there are fewer than five (5) entrants, fees will be refunded.
