I am searching for any kind of official document useable as guideline for race committees offering guidelines to race course setup (layout, duration, width of startline etc.) for modern multihull racing.

thanks

This is what we are using. Although we do tend to lay the start line just starboard of the gate and use one of the gate bouys as the counter start bouy

Aren't gates usually set at 5 to 8 boat lengths?

That is what I understood it should be. Maybe a little longer for bigger fleets - just absolutely nothing under 5 boat lengths.
