I will bet that the nays' were all of the recreational sailors...

The pro's on trac for the Olympics and the sailors who make up the majority of racers at the Grade 1 events certainly voted for the min.

I dont think any country will try a stunt like that, I think they would be blown away if they did.
They said the same about the games in South Korea, and the sailing venue at Pusan. That was no light wind event and it would be really fun if the same happened in China.

But... the top 7 - 10 teams are clear. If you did not qualify your country at the recent ISAF championships... you probably don't have a shot at a medal. SO... after you get your country in the games at the T worlds. . why not take a shot......

and remember... its not your call (eg the sailors) .... the country gets to select the team... they could put Twiggy on
the Brit team if they wanted to! (remember Eddie the Eagle!)
