Stealth F16's just became a whole lot more attractive to mainland European buyers.
After many years of seeing a high exchange rate between the British pound and the Euro we now have reversed situation.
Currently the exchange rate has dropped from 1.50 euro's per pound to 1.34 Euro per pound.
IS this significant ? Hell yes.
The most expensive fully fitted race ready 2-up Stealth F16(standard with carbon mast and Pentex Ullman sails Germany) and including taxes costs now GBP 9650 = 12.955 Euro's
This very same setup was 14.750 Euro's as recently as 3 months ago. That is almost a 2000 Euro drop in price. I call that significant. I've seen Mark Pressdee's new Stealth F16 at the global challenge and was really impressed by it.
A Stealth F16 singlehander costs now 11.277 Euro's
And the recreational versions of the Stealth F16 (both 2-up and 1-up) are respectively 10.673 Euro's and 9599 Euro's. These recreational models still include a carbon mast and T-foil rudders as standard.
You can't even buy a the cheapest Hobie 16 in Europe for 9599 Euro's.
This is some great pricing for the Stealths and it looks like the differences in economies between the UK and mainland Europe (euro-zone) are such that this price difference will persist for a while. This could be really great for Stealth Marine exports to the mainland Europe AND participation for the 2008 F16 Worlds !
