Are you refering to the Pacific Cat?

I did a couple of searches on this forum, one looking for Pacific Cat and the other for P-Cat, and I came up with a bunch of posts relating to the Pacific Cat. Maybe you will find something helpful. When you do the search, do it for "All Posts."

When looking for my first sailboat- I really wanted a Pacific cat. Alas, I could not find one (to this day I haven't even seen one).
Why did I want a "P-Cat" so badly? Sail area! I'd been checking out the specs of all the boats listed in Phil Bermans "Catamaran Sailing" and noticed that the P-Cat has gobs more sail area than most.

Incidentally sail area is why I went with a H16 instead of a G-Cat 5.0 for my first boat Live and learn!

I actually have a p-cat 2-18 and just recently sold a standard p-cat. These are the only two that I've ever seen on the water, but as Mary said they were very popular at one time and they even held p-cat regattas at lake Havasu, Az. In 1999 I went to Calif to meet Owen Minney and talk to him about his boats. He was very helpful and kind although he did say he was moving to Colorado and would not be making any more boats. Too bad, since they are very comfortable boats and offer lots of hull volume.
