I didn't want to put this under the worst way to transport your boat. This is what I'd been doing the week prior to the State Titles on the weekend. They originally carried a mossie on a different camper, but I modified and added a few features to carry the Taipan, as to only require us to take one vehicle.

Just make sure you have a loooooooong and deeeeeeeep ramp when you launch! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

what is the obvious question? How you get it in the water? You take it off with beech wheels and roll it in the water is that the answer you are looking for?

How many people are required? In case the cat is not on the water, I guess you need to use the wheels on the ground first and then on the camper and vice versa?

Its a one man operation, the wheels are put on last and taken of first, they are also used to strap in down at the front instead of having the straps directly on the hulls. There are two rollers that fit into brackets to roll it off and are removed when trailering. I can have the boat completely off and back on in under 5 minutes.

I understand. Hey your cat trailer/camper is great, I had thought of something like that but I never thought it could be handled by one person. I have other less obvious questions, if you will: - The rollers fit in the cradles? how exactly? - What is the hardest part of the procedure? - It looks like the structure might be weak in case of a fast stop, do you attach the boat somehow to avoid that it slides forward? (the straps on the beachwheels donĀ“t seem to help there) Thanks, I think I might copy your project some day.
