Am I really going to be the only F16 going to the Wildcat Regatta or are the rest of you just as lazy as I am, or was, when it comes to registering. You can pre-register at the bottom of this link.

Terry, Matt, Todd, Pete, Seth, Steph, and anyone else from Gulfport coming??

If I'm cleared for sailing I'll be at Eustis for Friday and Sunday.....the race organizer needs to do a better job about scheduling around football Saturday's .

Terry, I am waving my majic Doctor Wand from here, you are now cleared! But if you would stop riding that jet ski in your avatar you might not have had a problem in the first place!

Please send here down here...I'll take care of her.

Matt? Seth? Pete will be down with a knee operation.

Shameless Bump.

Come on you GYC guys, are you coming over to Eustis this weekend or no? Todd? Seth? Steph? Matt and I could really use some help smacking down those F18's, with their "We are sooo superior" attitudes! You know we will all be on the same starting line so you can stuff them into the committee boat if you want! Don't make me do it alone.

Well I just saw the forecast, supposed to be nice for a pussy like me, 86 for a high and 70 for the low. I might even tent it...

Wait, what am I thinking?? I'll need a king sized bed with double pillows! And if the wind is not exactly 11 knots from the NW, well, I'm not sailing. I don't want to risk breaking a nail...

Only two F16's pre-registered W-T-F!? Pick up the phone Timbo! So far you guys are the fleet with the weakest anticipated attendance. It's not going to be hot, 81 F, not too windy 6-8 knots, and ENE which means very flat water not that 6-8 is going to create chop anyway.

Come on, don't tell me the F16 fleet is afraid to start with big heavy F18's and 20's. Besides who is going peal us at the RC if you don't show?

You are preaching to the chior Dave. I will call all whom I have ph. numbers for, I do not have Seth and Steph's, if anyone does, PM me and I'll call them.

I got a room at the Best Western. Beoches are not cheap, they want $89.99 (plus tax, I'm sure it will be $100 or more) for Saturday night! But at least I will be well rested after a full day of kicking your F18 butt...

I think Gulfport has a regular race that weekend so maybe they are going to stay home. And who is Chuck really sailing with? He's listed as both F18 with BK and as Hobie 16 with Lucy...

Chuck is sailing with Lucy because Mavis will be out of town.

Brian is sailing with Tammy.

Went up there today ... and I witnessed Team McDonald "smokin'" everyone! First across the line for the entire spin fleet....every race!

I'll leave others to provide details.

Yeah, he is a good guy....
I am easily intimidated

I wish he would venture up to Pensacola and put the smack down on some people in that area

BK won all the poker money, both games. Ding was the dealer and brought a suitcase full of chips and cards, it was a real money buy in game, but only $3.00 to get in. So I guess BK won enough money to buy new hellicopter blades!

Ding sacraficed today's sailing to work on the total scores from yesterday. Thanks for doing all the hard work Dave.

Plenty of wind, more so on Saturday, 5 races, first a course 6 followed by four 7's. Today, wind was good too, typical gusty and shifty, 3 races, all course 6's. Great fun, thanks to all who made it possible.

In the spin fleet I think there were 3 Inter 20's, 5? F18's, Matt+G, me, and a Hobie 21 with spin, all on the same start and courses. I'm sure Ding or Rick will get the final scores up when he can. Lots of math...

Sometimes, when I kept it upright and going in the right direction, but that was due more to getting a good (for me) shift than boat speed. The F18's were usually faster than me (being Uni) in a straight line drag race, such as coming off the starting line, especailly when it's 10 gusting to 20. In 10 I could hang with them, in the 20 gusts, not so much. They were not as fast as Matt and Gina however...but who is?

yeah Matt and Gina are deadly fast. They had minimum of 5+ boat lengths on the entire fleet. Truly amazing! They can really keep that boat in the grove.

Today I sailed on a Infusion due to a mishap on my boat. LOL no I wont say what happened! Newbie error AGAIN!

The F18 and F16 are very much alike, but when you want to make them go fast they are very different boats, that require very different settings.

Terry, was there anybody taking pictures with you on the crash boat? Sure would like to see what it looked like from a distance!
