Best to stick it in an 'Aquapac' pouch, it is waterproof, prevents the device from taking water when it is exposed to high-impact contact with water, which increases the pressure momentarily and can exceed the device`s design max. pressure. The Aquapac has a large strong velcro strap which fits around the upper arm, and has a lanyard which I then tie to my wetsuit zipper-strap, for those windsurfing accidents over 30knots when you bounce a few times before stopping to see if your arms are still attached.

I can't help with the software but if anybody in the UK/EUR is looking to purchase a GPS unit then one of the cheapest places to look must be Amazon.co.uk. South Wales Marine have tried all their suppliers but none of them could better Amazon's price for the Foretrex 201, £89.03 (new) Christmas soon <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
