I have just got hold of a new tramp for a Taipan 4.9, and need two things: 1st, a description of how to lace it to the rear beam, and 2nd, pictures of how the jib blocks attach to the boat/tramp. thanks, Alex
For the first Question: On the Bottom of the rear beam there should be a number of little black plastic tie off points, just use a length of thin road and lace it using these. Nothing fancy just make sure it doesn't go anywhere.
Secondly, There are two methods for attaching the jib blocks to the tramp. One method (older) involves a wire that it attached to two adjustable rails on either hull, however less people use this method. The other is some lacing that should be built into the tramp (If you have it there should be four loops on either sides of the boat about a foot back from the font beam) Simply connect the block to one bit of this lacing. (I have attached a photo of what it should look like on you boat)
