Shortly after the last Nationals, Dan Kulkoski suggested that we set up a series of regattas to make up a National Championship Series. You would be allowed so many throwouts, but the idea would be to encourage folks to bring Waves to a good many areas of the country.
At the Wave NAs in Put-in-Bay, Ohio we had representation from several major areas:
Arizona (west coast)
Fl Panhandle (Central South)
Ohio (Midwest and North)
S. Fl (Southeast)
Unfortunately, we lacked areas like Texas, the northeast, northwest, and mountain states.
However, George Tompkins from Arizona suggests a regatta there (one that would be very good is the Midwinters West).
Also, Terry Richardson and Scaredycat can set something up in the Panhandle area.
In the Deep FL area we already have good turnouts at the Tradewinds Open Cat Nationals.

At any rate, just as food for thought, I suggest at least these regattas:
Nationals (counts as two regattas)
Midwinters West
Put-in-Bay Regatta
Sandy Hook Regatta
Tradewinds Midwinter Nationals
Mid-Americas Championships (Texas)
Midwinters East (where-ever they may be)

This could give us a nice start. Perhaps you all have some other suggestions. Nothing written in stone here. This is something we can all vote on at the National Meeting.
