When I get older and invariably fatter, I hope to have some extra cash for another multi.

Would love something in between the big cruisers (lepoard, Prout) and beachcats.

25-35 foot range. Able to sleep 2-3, but not all the crazy stuff on those big boats (maybe a watermaker & radar) and still reasonably fast around the cans.

Only stuff I see that's close to that seems to be three hulled.

Any thoughts?

2nd the Stiletto. So far can't beat the price either.

I am thinking you only want 2 hulls... but them, there corsairs are bootiful (beautiful), fast, have all the comforts from home you need and have a strong class.

I would want one of them over a Stiletto anyday

So what's wrong with 3 hulls? The trailerablility of the Corsair line is a great benefit especially when you don't have to pay for slip, yard fees, etc. The origianl F27's will do what you want.

Not sure mamma would want to spend a weekend with the kiddies, sleeping inside a Stiletto hull. But a F27 has lots of room, a galley, sink, porta-pottie, etc. and you can drag it to the keys or where ever else you want to sail.

Check out the prices on used F27's. Lots of bang for the buck there. Oh, there is a F boat forum on down the list over there on the left if you want to ask them any questions.

If I had the money, the Moxie 37 would be my among my first choices for a mid-sized fast cat with plenty of interior.

You're spot on.... family isn't keen on piling in the center hull of an F boat.

I kind of like the practicality of the Maine Cat 30 with the hardtop. Ranger 30 looks much faster, but more spartan (less likely to be able to enjoy a weekend with the family - which usually means I won't be able to go... frown )

Okay, another question. If raking the mast works so well with beachcats, why don't they rake them back on bigger cats? I know Playstation was one with a nice mast rake, but all the 20-50 footers have a vertical mast with big roach main. Surely there may be a better setup?

.... you're walking around the post-race party and you hear the monomaraners talking ... "yah we were really making time, our max speed was 9 knots w/ the chute up" ... you give them a knowing smile and sip your beverage ... and then state .... "yah, our slowest speed was 12knots with our average VMG being 16 knots with our max speed being slightly over 22knots with the chute up"... all heads turn towards you with jaws wide open and disbelieving eyes .... you take another sip and quietly state, " I crew on a multi ..." And you watch their eyes change from disbelief to, Damn I wish I was on that boat, what a ride that must have been ...

I crew on a Corsair 43' and it is hoot when the wind picks up. Personally I would like a to have a Corsair F-31 with a aft cabin and a racing rig option on it. A crew of 3-4 can race the boat very effectively. It is very easily trailered. We multi's raft up together being usually the closest boats to the beach/yacht club in the shallow water ... And sleeping on the tramps is nice if you have some sort of tarp rigged up overhead to keep the sun from waking you up and the dew/rain off you

But if I win the lottery a 43'Tri would be really nice .... Helloooooo Corsair, I want to order .....

Any other suggestions? I'm hoping the power ball hits this weekend so I can get a Gunboat, but maybe there's something a bit more attainable?

The Moxie 37 looks nice, but maybe a bit big for singlehanding?

And I don't think you can trailer that bad boy...

I've always been horny over the stiletto 30.
