You can't help but notice that the registration is down for the Spring Fever this year. But I gotta tell you guys, you're going to miss it this year! Ladies and Gentlemen, for the first time in over three years, Lake Hartwell is back to full pool - it's nothing but trees, grass, and water! It's a beautiful site for sore eyes! The weather here has been in the low to mid 70's for the last couple of weeks and it's been very windy. Since the last two years have seen this same kind of great weather turn off just for Spring Fever, statistically speaking, our chances are excellent for some awesome weather this year! Come On down - you know you'll like it.

I checked the Hartwell elevation last week too.
It was at about 661.5 which is about TEN FEET higher than last year.
I hope there will be enough beach left for us to park our boats.

I drove by it yesterday and it is quite a site to see that even the 'low water' markers are actually IN THE WATER.

It has traditionally been on Easter - there are usually Easter services available Sun. Morning and events for the kids too. Some would say that just sailing is a religious experience anyway!

It sounds like green grass and sandy beaches this year.

I've had nightmarish experiences with red clay mud getting jammed up in my centerboard trunks. One time during a beach launch, the centerboard got jammed in the mud and twisted, effectively destroying the little hook that they pivot on.

Point is: Red Clay Mud Sucks.

I managed to find the spot with the softest, stickiest, Georgia Red Clay God has to offer.
Everyone got such a laugh that I left it on.
From Jakes description, there may not be much of any "beach".
I am sure that we will find room though.

Hello Jake. It's Toby with the 5.8 w/spi. Myself and my new bride (yes, this past tuesday) will be there from Wednesday until Sunday. Kin of like our Honeymoon. Anyone that is thinking about going to Spring Fever needs to make the trip. I have NEVER had a better time at a race.
