Big News!!!

Muddy Waters Regatta will be held Oct 3,4 2009 on Lake Carlyle near St. Louis.

World Champion Lightning Sailors are going to compete in this regatta. Dan and Tobi Moriaty just got back from crewing for Matt Fischer and winning the Lightning Worlds. They are borrowing a Nacra 20 to compete in the Muddy Waters Regatta.

This should be interesting. They don't have a lot of experience with a high performance cat and it will be interesting to see how they make it go. They have lots of experience on Melges 24's and such. They have even done well in the past on an H17. We might even be able to get them to talk about their World's experience.

This regatta is a can't miss regatta. We will probably end up with 4 classes or H17, TheMightyHobie18, Low PN (N20, F18, A-cat, N17, ...), and High PN (H16, H14, Mystere 4.3, ..).

We will be serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at the regatta. Camping next door.

We have a sandy beach and a big lake to sail on.

Just two weeks away! Don't miss it!!!!

I'll be there on an F16. CSA always puts on great regattas. Who else is coming?

IF I get repairs done in time...think I'll roll on down I-70 with the H17.
Need some pointers, and tiller time, before Havamegas. smile

3 F16 (2 Blades, 1 Falcon) from the Chicago area are coming for sure.

Great facility. Friendly people. Camping right next door. Should be good.

I'm thinking about it. I'm getting a bit sick of driving, and its 10 hours away.

Might meet up with some folks in Omaha and double stack.

fack, nevermind. Gotta go to a wedding that friday. Where's Doc Brown and his DeLorean when I need it?

Tell me about it. 5K miles on the trailer so far this year.

But think about how much fun you had last weekend breezing by me...

Also another chance to hone your chops before GC.

Just saw your last line about the wedding...oh well.

Pre-Registration date is getting close.

The Pre-Registration must be recieved by 9/30/09.

Looks like a good fleet of boats of all sizes for this event.

F16 Fleet will be interesting. Some good sailors coming in this fleet.

Less than a week away. Get your sailing fix in this weekend. Last weekend the sailing on Carlyle was great with some perfect wind and temps on Sunday.

All Catamarans are welcome!!!!

Chime in if you are coming? Roll Call!!!!

Chances are better then 50/50 that I will be there. I still have a few logistical problems that I have to overcome first. Plus the mental anquish from passing within 20 minutes of a CRAW regatta with still 6 hours left to Carlyle. The favorable point is the forcast looks to be 10 to 15 degrees warmer in Carlyle. Plan was once to bring two F18 down, now it just one.

St. Louis, MO,
I just talked to Dan and Kelly. They are coming in from Omaha with their F18. It's really going to be a great regatta. Knock on wood the weather looks promising.

Are you breaking ice to get on the water yet up there?

Come down to the warm breezes and sunshine. smile
