Posts: 749 Santa Cruz, CA | Pretty cool making the front page of SA There's a team of cat sailors that are putting a serious effort to get cat sailing noticed by the general sailing public. One part of the strategy is media coverage. The best thing people can do is jump into any threads that cover a cat event and show them some numbers. Posts: 157 Framingham, MA | Thanks guys! Definately a few of us looking to come down for steeple and tradewinds regattas. Trying to put together details to make it all happen. Gansett Brewery started producing beer again over the past couple years, and has been AWESOME to us over the past year as a beer sponsor for the F18 Eastern area series. If anyone is willing to take 2 min, shoot them an email that you saw the pic/ heard about their support and appreciate what they have done for sailing catamarans. Nothing better than free beer and good competative racing to attract new blood into the fleets. http://www.narragansettbeer.com/contact-us | | | Re: Eastern area F18 series on front page of SA

Posts: 3,655 Portland, Maine | Just sent this off to them Chris: Hello I just saw your company as a prominently featured sponsor of The Burd/Easton F18 sailing team and wanted to thank you for your involvement in catamaran sailing. As a friend of Tripp, I know he appreciates everything you do for his competitive efforts. I also run a competitive sailing team ( www.velocitysailing.com) and realize how difficult it can be for our sport to attract and retain sponsors, especially in recent economic times. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be purchasing your product whenever I see it offered due to your involvement in our sport! Best Wishes, Tad Pecorak | | | Re: Eastern area F18 series on front page of SA

Posts: 297 | The Brewery that makes 'Gansset put me through college!literally and figuratively!
I used to work in their labs when I was younger, and still have friends affiliated with facility!
I think that it is great to find out they were indirectly affiliated with such a great summer event.
I'll write those guys too.
PS: On the fence for the banquet this weekend as family stuff is still up in the air.
