OK, the first of three events making up the Gulf Coast Triple Crown event known as the Trident is a week from this coming Saturday, June 7th/8th - White or Wheat. This event will be sailed from Chickenbone beach out at the end of the condos on Ft. Pickens Rd. as the Navarre Beach boat ramp area is under reconstruction. We will have a tent set up for regisration/skipper's meeting (9 - 10am) and will race from there to the Navarre bridge and back Sat and do bouys in the bay Sunday.

Couple other items of clarification on the Trident. The entry fee has been reduced from $50 to $30 to avoid complaints of too much $$. For this, you will get 2 t-shirts (probably at the 2nd or 3rd event) and trophies will be 3 deep each class. ARC will be sponsoring a perpetual trophy for each fleet. There will be great door prizes given out at each event from Key Sailing, Smyth Team, etc. Then all the names will be thrown back in the hat and the grand prize will be the RAFFLED off at the last event Sat July 5th for a new dacron main/jib for each of the beach cat classes and a new foresail for the off-shore multi class from Sabre Sails. If you win the sails, Sabre will work with you on upgrades to a different material or say switching up to a spinaker. To get these coveted raffle tickets, you must enter and compete in all 3 events, not 2 of 3, not just jump in at the last one. This is intended to encourage you to get your yard work done after work M-F, so you can get on the water and have fun on the weekend!

The seabreezes are back to their regular schedule along the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico, tell your friends and neighbors about the fun coming up, and see ya on the water. Go to pensacolabeach-yc.org to register and get more info (click on the Trident #1, #2, #3 events).
