Hope you guys don't mind but I wince every time the discussion continues on the "Wildcat Hull ....." when it has nothing to do that issue. Perhaps we can avoid perpetuating an unflattering thread title.

For the sake of continuing the discussion here, 2 patch setup....yes longer bag. Then longer hoist/douse. 1, 2, or more arm fulls? However, chute should bunch less and slide easier. I have a standard SNU system with a 17.5 sqm chute w/ 3 patches and it slides pretty damn well. The pre-mesh version was easier (slicker) but would not drain easily from any shrimping expeditions (never happened on my shift ;)).

JW or anyone else who has experience accross platforms, how does it stack up? Is there much difference in 2 vs 3 patch chutes? How about 17.5 sqm vs 19 sqm vs 21 sqm chutes relative to # patches, hoist/douse speed, and ease?
