I'm purchasing a Wave soon and wanted to know the "best" quality trailer to get with the wave. I'll be trailering the boat alot and know from past experience that all trailers are not created equal.

Suggestions & Information appreciated.

Trailex is the best and have been around the longest. I would never get anything else. Most folks with bad backs definitely need to go that way.
I do have some steel trailer, but that was because they came with a boat of some kind.
The neat thing about Trailex is that it is made like an Erector Set from the old days. If a part breaks, just buy the part and it bolts right back on. I broke a cross beam by hitting a rock. Called the factory and a few days later I bolted on a new one and was off and running.
They are more expensive than steel, but by far better.
For the Wave you wouldn't need an expensive model, however, so ought to be a pretty good price. Another bonus is you will save money on gas -- much easier to trail a light load than a heavy one.
Hope you will make it to some Wave Regattas, i.e., Wave North Americans at Put-in-Bay, Ohio, and the Nationals in Key Largo, FL.
Good luck,
Rick

I just bought the Wave trailer from Hobie ($650 + $100 in shipping). It took about 4 hours to put together. Rides
fine and is a quality unit complete with lights, fenders. I bought their tie-down strap kit also ($40). Everything is galvanized
steel (should be OK for me as I am not right at the ocean, but will launch in to salt water).

I have a calkins trailer I think they are made in Spokane it seems fine I added a mast suport. I just had a freind weld up. I just put that on today that should help organize all the gear along with a simple wood box under the tramp for the sails rudder ect.I think you could adapt alot of trailers even a Home Depot trailer i'm sure would work with alittle adjustment.Good luck
