Nice video!
Macca,
Has any thought been put to using daggerboard uphaul/raising straps or lines? I would think that would be a huge benefit seeing how dynamic the board adjustment needs to be.

Nice is that a subliminal message with the sail number?

Any chance of a less dramatic version. It is hard to concentrate on the product when the film is so cut up. A little of that goes a long way. The filming was great...the boat looked fantastic...the editing has room for improvement.

This boat is a real game changer for the 20 foot class. I was at the BMW-Oracle team victory tour party on Fri and I discussed the F20Carbon with one of the guys and they were all over it. They thought that they would be buying a few and that the other Americas cup teams would or should buy a few as well...

Also Macca who bought the pink boat?

Nice video, just a real shame they chose such an ugly guy to helm the boat. grin
The close-ups and underwater shots where cool though, I hope that manufacturers will do stuff like this more often.

I've heard of a butt cleat, (sitting on the line); foot cleat (stepping); Knee cleat, etc. Now I've seen the correct technique of the 'teeth cleat'!

NIce video, on one of the quick snap shots, ya'll were getting the lee hull up double trapped, then it cut away just as it was rising.

It would be a possible addition but then you might start wanting bit an up and down line on both boards... If your crew is on top of things then it's no problem to swap the boards around. And if everyone has the same then nobody has an advantage.

In talking to Mike Krantz ,it seems the more the wind picks up, the more the leeward board needs to come up(correct me if I'm,wrong). That would seem the least likely time you would want to send someone to pull the board, but exactly when they need to. That's why I thought the raising strap would be pretty effective. I've got them on my A and like how they work. Pull down lines would be useful, but not as much.Is there anything in the rules prohibiting control lines like that? Would drilling through or bonding in a strap weaken the board too much?

Thanks,
Todd

Tawd....
We have uphaul lines our our infusion... actually only on our Port daggerboard, but it's easy to drill it and add one. It would be nice if our wells had the groove like the capricorn trunks but oh well.
So i'm guessing it wouldn't be out of the question to do the same to the F20

You mean they haven't already produced 2,016 boats?

Nicely done...... And seriously Macca, when are you going to have one on AUS shores, even a factory demo boat.
