YOu lie!

I saw the anti christ with big ears on TV shortly today, but I just had dinner and had to change the channel before I barfed.

But, the Big eared idiot was saying the HOuse republicans killed his job bill, and it seemed most of his audience was agreeing with him.

Then I felt really stupid, 'cause I thought the Senate still have a democrap majority, and the Senate could pass any totally ludicrous bill they wanted!

But somehow, it's the senate republicans fault?

As I said- you lie!
Why not say that some of your democraps wouldn't vote for it either?

I ask you here today folks, how long.........., how long................., how long...............will this BS go on?

Is your species shrinking Todd?

Animals, Plants Shrinking as Climate Warms

Contradicting a century-old hypothesis, increased global carbon dioxide levels seem to be shrinking plants instead of fostering their growth. Animals from polar bears to marine iguanas are being stunted too.

In 1896, Svante Arrhenius published calculations predicting that doubling CO2 levels would trigger a global temperatures increase of about 5-6 degrees C.

"We would then have some right to indulge in the pleasant belief that our descendants, albeit after many generations, might live under a milder sky and in less barren surroundings than is our lot at present," Arrhenius said during a lecture that same year.

But it seems reality hasn't lived up to Arrhenius' verdant dreams of vigorous vegetation.

"Plants were expected to get larger with increased atmospheric carbon dioxide," but changes in temperature, humidity and nutrient availability seem to have trumped the benefits of increased CO2, said researchers from the National University of Singapore in the journal Nature Climate Change.

Forty-five percent of the species studied now reach smaller adult sizes than they did in the recent past. The researchers, led by Jennifer Sheridan and David Bickford, point to climate change induced warmer temperatures and changing habitats are possible culprits in the case of the shrinking creatures.

"We do not yet know the exact mechanisms involved, or why some organisms are getting smaller while others are unaffected," the researchers said in an interview with PhysOrg. "Until we understand more, we could be risking negative consequences that we can't yet quantify."

The change was dramatic in cold-blooded animals. Only two decades of warmer temperatures were enough to make reptile runts.

An increase of only one degree Celsius caused nearly a 10 percent increase in metabolism. Greater use of energy resulted in tiny tortoises and little lizards.

Fish are smaller now too. Though overfishing has played a part in reducing piscine proportions, the researchers also point to experimental results showing that warmer temperatures also stunt fish growth.

Discovery News recently reported on warmer temperature's size-stifling effect on plankton, the base of the marine ecosystem.

Warm-blooded animals weren't immune from the climate change caused size change.

Many birds are now less bulky, including passerines (the order that includes cardinals, blue jays, and crows) as well as goshawks and gulls.

Mammals have been miniaturized too. Soay sheep are scrawny. Red dear are runts. And polar bears are puny, compared to historical records.

This isn't the first time this has happened in Earth's history.

Fifty-five million years ago, a warming event similar to the current climate change correlated to beetles, bees, spiders, wasps and ants shrinking by 50 to 75 percent over several thousand years.

Woodrats and squirrels also shrunk by about 40 percent.

That event, the Palaeocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum, happened over a longer time than the current global warming.

The speed of modern climate change could mean, "organisms may not respond or adapt quickly enough", especially those with long generation times, said the authors in PhysOrg.

What's up with Herman Todd? His SimCity plan is gonna screw a lot of people. I hope you're a millionaire.

999 Plan: Herman Cain's Proposal Would Raise Taxes On 84 Percent, Study Shows

WASHINGTON Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan would raise taxes on 84 percent of U.S. households, according to an independent analysis released Tuesday, contradicting claims by the Republican presidential candidate that most Americans would see a tax cut.

The Tax Policy Center, a Washington think tank, says low- and middle-income families would be hit hardest, with households making between $10,000 and $20,000 seeing their taxes increase by nearly 950 percent.

"You're talking a $2,700 tax increase for people with incomes between $10,000 and $20,000," said Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center. "That's huge."

Households with the highest incomes, however, would get big tax cuts. Those making more than $1 million a year would see their taxes cut nearly in half, on average, according to the analysis.

Among those in the middle, households making between $40,000 and $50,000 would see their taxes increase by an average of $4,400, the report said. Those making between $50,000 and $75,000 would see their annual tax bill go up by an average of $4,326.

"It's very, very regressive compared to the current system, and that's largely because we're exempting capital gains, and we're taxing your spending with the sales tax," Williams said. "People at the top end don't spend all their money and they get a lot of capital gains, so they are doing pretty well here."

Cain's plan would scrap current taxes on income, payroll, capital gains and corporate profits. He would replace them with a 9 percent tax on income, a 9 percent business tax and a 9 percent national sales tax.

Cain has acknowledged that taxes would increase for some but says taxes would decrease for most.

"Some people will pay more, but most people would pay less is my argument," Cain said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." "Who will pay more? The people who spend more money on new goods. The sales tax only applies to people who buy new goods, not used goods. That's a big difference that doesn't come out."

The Tax Policy Center is a research group formed by two Washington think tanks: the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution. Researchers at the center regularly testify before Congress on tax policy. The center's analyses during the 2008 presidential campaign were widely circulated.

What's up with Eric Cantor Todd?

In fact, Cantor said Monday that hes going to deliver his very own speech on income disparity and how Republicans believe the government could help fix it on Friday. A spokesman elaborated: Cantor will talk about on how Washington can assist a single working moma small business owner..and how we make sure the people at the top stay there.

People at the top stay there. Good thing your bucks up Todd.

To call Rep. Eric Cantor a stooge at this point is to insult all three Howard brothers, and the late Mr. Fine, as well. Cantor has demonstrated a remarkable ability to combine complete ignorance of practically every major issue with the unctuous personality of a third-string maitre d' at a fourth-string steakhouse.

No wonder you're for SimCity Todd.

We hired a lawn company to mow our lawn, and they had illegal immigrants that were working there. And when that was pointed out to us, we let them go. [...] So we went to the company and we said, look, you cant have any illegals working on our property. Im running for office, for Petes sake, I cant have illegals.

Now with the president, he put us in Libya. He is now putting us in Africa. We already were stretched too thin, and he put our special operations forces in Africa.

Ummmmmmm, Libya is in Africa. You knew that didn't you Todd? Todd?

When they ask me who is the president of Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan Im going to say, You know, I dont know. Do you know?

It wasn't only Hillary, Obama, Bush, and the rest of the power elite that cheered the murder of Gaddafi today. CNN showed the tape of his being beaten bloody before he was shot in the head, again and again and again, for our delectation. It was a tribal killing, ordered by the US, and savored by the establishment as well as the perps. He was a dictator, but more so than Obama? More so than the fundamentalists the US has brought to power, so as to cause chaos? As in Iraq, ethnic and religious minorities may look back on the dictator's rule as a golden age. This isn't a bunch of classical liberals who've come to power. Certainly anything that has Hillary--who looks more and more like one of the Three Witches every day--chortling over blood and scheming for more, can't be good news.

If you think you're a democrat, and have or are going to vote democrat, do you really understand what you're dong to this country? Stupid people.

Are you aware that Big Ears has already saddled the US with more debt, than all the presidents before him combined?

This is the GOP's stimulus plan:
Fire Obummer

I have to finish listening to Future President Cain in Iowa.

What is puzzling to me, and I was raised Jewish and had a Bar-Mtzvah, is how ANYONE that is Jewish or supports the Jewish state, could vote Democrap, and/or for the Obummer.

How does that happen?

Can anyone that knows this objectively tell us how that can be?

How come Obummer thinks that making a profit, stiving for excellence, striving to get ahead and leave more for charity and your family when you kick it is somehow a terrible thing?

Obummer has mucked things up so badly already, and there are still people that approve of the job he is doing?

Oh oh Todd, this ain't lookin' good for the anti climate screechers.

Global warming study finds no grounds for climate sceptics' concerns
Independent investigation of the key issues sceptics claim can skew global warming figures reports that they have no real effect

Berkeley Earth's land surface temperature data from 1800 to 2009, showing deviation from the mean temperature over that period and overall global warming since the industrial revolution. Video: Berkeley Earth Link to this video

The world is getting warmer, countering the doubts of climate change sceptics about the validity of some of the scientific evidence, according to the most comprehensive independent review of historical temperature records to date.

Scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, found several key issues that sceptics claim can skew global warming figures had no meaningful effect.

The Berkeley Earth project compiled more than a billion temperature records dating back to the 1800s from 15 sources around the world and found that the average global land temperature has risen by around 1C since the mid-1950s.

This figure agrees with the estimate arrived at by major groups that maintain official records on the world's climate, including Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa), and the Met Office's Hadley Centre, with the University of East Anglia, in the UK.

"My hope is that this will win over those people who are properly sceptical," Richard Muller, a physicist and head of the project, said.

"Some people lump the properly sceptical in with the deniers and that makes it easy to dismiss them, because the deniers pay no attention to science. But there have been people out there who have raised legitimate issues."

Muller sought to cool the debate over climate change by creating the largest open database of temperature records, with the aim of producing a transparent and independent assessment of global warming.

The initial reluctance of government groups to release all their methods and data, and the fiasco over emails from the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit in 2009, gave the project added impetus.

The team, which includes Saul Perlmutter, joint winner of this year's Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate, has submitted four papers to the journal Geophysical Research Letters that describe their work to date.

Going public with results before they are peer-reviewed is not standard practice, but Muller said the decision to circulate the papers before publication was part a long-standing academic tradition of sanity-checking results with colleagues.

"We will get much more feedback from making these papers public before publication," he said.

Climate sceptics have criticised official global warming figures on the grounds that many temperature stations are poor quality and that data are tweaked by hand.

However, the Berkeley study found that the so-called urban heat island effect, which makes cities warmer than surrounding rural areas, is locally large and real, but does not contribute significantly to average land temperature rises. This is because urban regions make up less than 1% of the Earth's land area. And while stations considered "poor" might be less accurate, they recorded the same average warming trend.

"We have looked at these issues in a straightforward, transparent way, and based on that, I would expect legitimate sceptics to feel their issues have been addressed," Muller said.

Nevertheless, one prominent US climate sceptic, Anthony Watts, claimed to have identified a "basic procedural error" concerning time periods used in the research, and urged the authors to revise the paper.

Jim Hansen, head of Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, said he had not read the research papers but was glad Muller was looking at the issue, describing him as "a top-notch physicist". "It should help inform those who have honest scepticism about global warming.

"Of course, presuming that he basically confirms what we have been reporting, the deniers will then decide that he is a crook or has some ulterior motive.

"As I have discussed in the past, the deniers, or contrarians, if you will, do not act as scientists, but rather as lawyers."

"As soon as they see evidence against their client (the fossil fuel industry and those people making money off business-as-usual), they trash that evidence and bring forth whatever tidbits they can find to confuse the judge and jury."

Peter Thorne at the Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites in North Carolina and chair of the International Surface Temperature Initiative, said: "This takes a very distinct approach to the problem and comes up with the same answer, and that builds confidence that pre-existing estimates are in the right ballpark. There is very substantial value in having multiple groups looking at the same problem in different ways.

"Openness and transparency is a must, particularly now with climate change being so politicised, but more to the point, with the huge socioeconomic decisions that rest on it."

Phil Jones, the director of the Climatic Research Unit at UEA who was at the centre of the Climategate incident, said: "I look forward to reading the finalised paper once it has been reviewed and published. These initial findings are very encouraging and echo our own results and our conclusion that the impact of urban heat islands on the overall global temperature is minimal."

The Berkeley Earth project has been attacked by some climate bloggers, who point out that one of the funders runs Koch Industries, a company Greenpeace called a "financial kingpin of climate science denial".

Muller points out the project is organised under the auspices of Novim, a Santa Barbara-based nonprofit organisation that uses science to find answers to the most pressing issues facing society and to publish them "without advocacy or agenda".

Other donors include the Fund for Innovative Climate and Energy Research (funded by Bill Gates), and the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley Lab. The next phase of the project will focus on warming trends in the oceans.

Some scientists were critical of the project and Muller's decision to release the papers before they had been peer reviewed.

Peter Cox, professor of climate system dynamics at Exeter University said: "These studies seem to confirm the global warming estimated from the existing datasets, which is pleasing but not exactly a surprise to those of us who know how carefully the existing datasets are put together.

"It is surprising, however, that the authors believe that this news is so significant that they can't wait for peer review, especially when their conclusions aren't exactly revolutionary."
