Sarah and JC had a great first day and are currently in second.

Robbie and Catherine are standing in 8th.

The Brits are strong with a one three and five team.

What surprises is how few US woman are competing in the 49xx class and they are well back after the first day. (16 and 21) the first cycle of a quad is supposed to be our strong suit.

Buried just under the N17 results are the results for the F16 match race, second half of the qualifiers for the 2014 ISAF Youth Worlds.

Wow, impressive fleet! 580 sailors, 50 countries, this is being discussed right now at the US Sailing BOD teleconference.

Sarah Newberry and John Casey won the Nacra 17 class, which was noted on the phone. Very impressive names in the fleet.

Ravi Parent and Nico Schultz won the Formula 16 class, and while I don't see an official announcement yet, it would appear that they will represent us at the ISAF Youth Worlds in Tavira, Portugal in July. After completely dominating the fleet in the first event (US Sailing Youth Championships / Stevens Trophy winners), they were again strong against the second place team from that event, Sophia Schultz and Joseph Bello.

Congrats to the organizers and sailors for what appears to have been a great event.

Mike
