The wavepiercing concept is not new to the 20' class, even if so far not successful (see the case of the Hobie Fox).
The Swiss boatyard Ventilo tries to do better with its newest design: the unirigged PULSO 20'.
Only time will say if the PULSO is faster than the Morelli & Melvin designed Ventilo 20'.

thanks for the info catfan -a 10 ft beam ,- the design looks great -

Currently the HT 20 new design versions seem to be tending towards the 10 beam range and lighter weights -
Ventilo -Marstom 20 -this design ,and of course the T -

Noted the emergence of a single handed F-17 w spin class mainly based on the newer version Inter 17 with numerous updates -
Some inferances to a similar production backed Formula 20 effort is rumored underway based on updated I-20 specs -
We will see -The Tybee 5000 and Atlantic 1000 will most likely be organized based on Formula classes for future events and should help enable the evolution of this type of inventive limited modified class category of 20s along with established 18s ,-a S H 17 class added for the distance event ? --

--aside note :-
been on family vacation -and havn,t sailed much this year ,my appoligies for not responding or attending some of the events this season that I wish I could -

good sailing
Carl

All these high tech mega expensive exotic cats being made over seas and they still struggle against the Tornados. The Arc 22 with a PN below 59 is far less expensive and built here in the USA!
Marstrom M-20 = 55
Tornado = 59
CFR20 carbon spi = 58.5
ARC 21 = 61.5
ARC 22 = 57.0

I know, waterline. but, for the money you could dump into those all carbon boats you could.......
