I was hoping this forum could give me some advice. I am going to sell my 2001 Inter 18 and I am trying to get some idea of what the boat is worth. I have looked on the classified site of this website and I have seen a wide range of prices for an Inter 18. I checked the NADA Boat Guide but the price seems high to me for an Inter 18. Oh, and this is not my way of trying to sell the boat over this forum. Once I have an idea of the price you might pay for this boat, I will list it in the classified section.


The boat has spent most of its life sitting under a Top Gun cover rather than being sailed. I just as soon someone sail the boat rather than have it sit in storage. Sails are the stock sails (main good condition, jib shot, spinnaker used only three times), hulls look like they are new (no dents, never been hit), aluminum mast.

Can someone give me a range of what you think the boat is worth?

My guess is around $3500 with trailor and wheels. A trailor box would be a bonus. It all depends on finding a buyer. A buyer for an I18 would be hard to find. Too nice a boat for your day sailor person. Too behind the times for a racer. Your target audience would be someone who wants to move into an F18 but knows they aren't quite ready for a 15K boat and might buy yours to get some time on the water.
