waterbug:

I know we don't because we have yet to conduct a team meeting to decide on which regattas to attend. I can tell you that we probably wont make many Florida races. After that long drive I think I've had my share of Florida until May

Hey guys, thanks for the kudos. I just added a skeleton schedule of events that we plan to attend for 2006.

Jake,

The website [url=http://www.teamseacats.com/wordpress/] is on the money. I got a good feeling that the blue N20 will be looking great come Tybee time. I wish I was able to help, but it looks like I might just get in your way. I'll just head back to the gym now and keep starving myself for May.

Thanks again,

Frank

FYI: to anyone looking to overhaul a boat - I think Jake is putting on a clinic at the Seacats website.

Thanks Frank!

If any of you have bookmarked the temporary home of the test site at www.teamseacats.com/wordpress/ please note that it has moved to the main http://www.teamseacats.com/ directory. The boat work continues....

Jake, The web site is looking great! Very cool documentation of your work on the boat! WOW! Would you consider a link on thebeachcats.com? Would be great to have your work in the archives there! I got a good feeling about you and Frank this year! Keep up the great work!

Brian,

Thanks for the encouragment! By all means, link away anywhere you feel like it. Our hosting account was recently upgraded so we've got tons of bandwidth. I'll probably pull the site down tonight for, at most, an hour while I try to sort out my directory problem. It should be back later tonight.

Not to one-up jake... but we're planning on hosting high-def video interviews, starts, and finishes on our website. Updated every day (or night) during the tybee 500.

You Velocity Boys know I'll be watchin! Trey, I was wondering if you'd convinced Jake to go over your boat the way he has the blue N20? Jake, will you name her, or leave it at Sailmaxbiz?

oh don't worry, "Undecided" is undergoing some renovations of her own.... we're just not doing the grunt work all ourselves

I think you'd see steam coming out Jake's ears if we dropped off the yellerwhite boat and said "hey dude, just yaknow, do what you did with ole blue. We'll pay in beer."

Maybe - but the quality wouldn't be as good if you pay in beer.

Actually this is a different boat - this boat was the Team Windy Hill boat for the last several years and is owned by Frank Moore. He and I are teaming up to sail together this year as Team Seacats. I need to ask Frank if the boat has a name. After all this work though, we might need to recommission her. The boat really wasn't in that bad of shape ... but you know me.

If you rename her- you do realize what you need to do to keep Poseidon happy, right?

If you don't pay attention and make him happy you may never get off the beach

I believe you need a virgin girl to pee on the bow. But I hear they are hard to come by

On my old Catalina 27, I changed the name (couldn't be seen sailing a boat named Nancy!) and tried to make the gods happy with good beer poured on the bows... but NO... engine died in the east past (sailing 5 knots- current 5 knots= going nowhere slowly)

There are other ways. Bonnie found one where you go out, sail the boat backwards for at least one hull length, pour some alcohol in the water (If I remember correctly), say a little thing of good wishes to the boat, rename it, and start sailing forward again. This is much easier to come by than a virgin willing to pee in the hull.

I heard that if you sink it then raise it again- thats good enough too. Would be quick (but heavy to pull pack out of the water tolet it drain )

Hey Jake

I think that is Chris Brown's old boat. I remember when Chris brought the boat to Spring Fever (I think it was new) It was the first I20 I had seen. We were getting ready to go out and race and it was real windy. Chris's boat was right next to ours and it was moving all around because of the high wind and he did not go out (yes there has been wind at SP)

Do you suppose wiping a soiled diaper on the bow would count?
