Well, my wife and I are ordering a new F-24 this month and I was hoping to hear from some seasoned owners out there. I'm looking for imformation regarding things you wish you would have orderd with the boat, or things you did'nt need. Is the 5-hp ob sufficient, or should a guy upgrade? Is the little galley useable or would a coleman stove and a jug of water work just fine? Things like that. Any insight you may have would be very appreciated.

Thanks, Chuck....

Chuck,

Did you get your boat by now? If not, here are a few comments. Yes - the 5 hp outboard is fine. I chose a Nissan for it's resistance to corrosion. I used it 11 years without any problem and starting in 2 pulls. I like the version with the built-in tank for less deck clutter. Galley is a waste for most users - (so are cushons for real racers!) , so look how you are going to use the boat. A grille is a better option and will fit in a rod holder - better option!

If you want more, email me directly,

good sailing.

Jeff
