I am looking for some information on the G-cat 5.7, I don't know much about them other than what I've read on this website and g-catmultihulls.com. Does anyone know the specs for it? is it solid fiberglass and how tall is the mast? How does it compare (both build wise and performance) to similar niche boats like the nacra 5.7 or hobie 18?

They are not a bad boat, but I would go for a Nacra 5.8 instead. Just my opinon, but for around the same money you get a whole lot more performance.

Nacra 5.8 does not seem to be as tough of a boat, my guess is that one for the same price as a G-CAT or Nacra 5.7 is probably going to in very rough shape. Plus, I like the idea of not having to worry about daggerboards with the 5.7s.

I have seen on the US SAILING inactive multihull portsmouth ratings that there was a G-FORCE 18, is this just a G-CAT5.7 with a square top, taller mast, or spin? The boat is listed as a DPN65 which would probably mean its cabable of being as fast or faster than a Nacra 5.8.
