I just found a jem, sitting 10 years in a feild, the owner told me if I took it that day I could have it for nothing. It will take some TLC but its pretty sweet. now I am new to Cats and prindle's but it sounds to me like this is the place for help.
I attached a few pics so you can follow along with the re-birth.

anyone know the best place to buy cheap parts.

Im missing one batton form the top of the sail, the tiller extender, the cross bar for the tillers, and a few other odds and ends.

sounds good for free. If you plan on trailering I think I would trade the utility trailer for an actual catamaran trailer. Used hobie 16 trailers should work and are everywhere, often for very cheap. Or since it looks like you have the crossbars already if they can be detached then just put them on any small boat trailer frame in the right spots.

look closely - the utility trailer is carrying the cat trailer. Smart...given the fact that the condition of the cat trailer is suspect at the moment.

The Prindle is a very nice boat. They did have a problem with the forward decks getting pretty soft. There are a lot of people here with a good deal of experience with them and they will probably chime in.

I used to have a p16, the thing was a tank and loved big wind.
Another p16 on the beach where I am redid his entire boat with generic gelcoat (ya know, the 98 cent cans of spray paint!) and it looks great.
I sometimes wish I had the old p16 again for those high wind days.

You can also check ebay under prindle (or any of the other beach cat brands)

Used parts, especially on Ebay, are often not so great a deal. At the very least, see what the part costs new before bidding on used. Murrays.com is a good source for new parts.

Maybe some of the blocks and sheets (not to be confused with sails), but probably not the expensive stuff like masts, rudders or tramp probably not sails either.

Speaking of ebay, this seller has new Prindle Escape mains for very cheap.

http://tinyurl.com/m7etn

The Escape was essentially a P18 with a P16 mast and new sails. The Escape main is going to be a tad bigger than the stock P16 main and you'd still need a jib, but it just might be an interesting project. And the price is certainly right!

I believe that sail is for the Escape playcat designed by Morrelli and Melvin, not the prindle.
