The latest head count for this event that will take place Jan 22-26 at the Islander Resort in Islamorada, FL is looking like over 50 boats beating last year's turnout of 42 boats. It's looks like most of the sailors who came last year are returning with a few more from Annapolis, the west coast, and some more Swedish sailors (who love to get away from the snow and ice).

This will be a world class event that will be a dress rehearsal for the 2007 WC taking place at the same venue in November.

I hope some of them will come for the Tradewinds Regatta, too, since it is the week before and on a nice soft beach this year at Founders Park in Islamorada -- perfect venue for A Cats -- and only about five miles from the Islander.

Looks as though that number is growing in excess of the fifty boats. I am having trouble though finding the NOR/Entry form at the usaca website.
