How many F18 are going to race in CRAM events in 2007?
Which ones would people want to try to attend?
(Like Benton Harbor or Tawas I or II)
And is there going to be the CATFIGHT?

Matt

There are four events that don't conflict with the Tiger one-design racing in HCA Division 10/16 - Tawas I (June 23-24), Benton Harbor (Aug 11-12), Caseville I (Aug 25-26), and Caseville II (Sept 22-23).

Tawas II is a possibility, too - depends on when the Austin Lake Hobie Fleet has their regatta (tentatively Sept 8-9)

Those dates are your best chances of getting the Detroit F-18 (Tigers) out.

I would expect there to be a significant fleet of F18's at Twin Cities (Benton Harbor, MI) because of it being the Alter Cup qualifier. But CRAM has yet to designate the Northern Area F18 championship venue. Last year it was Benton Harbor.

Kelly and I should be able to make three or four of the events this year. Haven't done the calendar yet so not sure which ones.

Hi John!

Thanks and Merry Xmas to you too! Sorry you won't make it to Tradewinds. Maybe midwinters? Madcatter for sure.

Cheers,

Olli

Happy holidays everyone. It is great to see the F-18 activity in the Great Lakes. CRAM will again be supporting F-18 racing in 2007. Two major activities for F-18's will be the Great Lakes Championships and the NAF-18 Northern championships. The Great Lakes Championships will consists of 4-5 regattas with an overall scoring system. The NAF-18 Northern Championships will be designated for one CRAM weekend. When the dates are finalized, it will be posted at http://www.websitemagic.com/cram/ .

CRAM posted the 5 races for the Great Lakes Championships and the NAF-18 Northern championships on their web site. Looks to be a great year of Racing F18 in Michigan and great places to race from!
