That is a good idea. I never even thought of it when we had our cruising catamarans. In fact, it never even occurred ot me that they could capsize at all.

Well, at least this indicates several points for a potential cruising cat buyer:

- need escape hatch on both hulls
- No fixed keel
- able to install mast float (probably wouldn't have helped these guys, as they were probably dis-masted if it was a rogue wave
- nothing that could fly at you in case of capsize
- the ability to stay dry in the cabin (somewhere) if capsized.
