They don't own anything !
They just try to make your life really difficult if you don't do what they want you to do. They can't go after the organisation but they will go after the sailors that did your event and exclude them for life with respect to ISAF sanctioned events.
It is a racket scheme.

Posts: 3,528 Looking for a Job, I got credi... | agreed... But if they go after the sailors that means every sailor is excluded form any other ISAF approved event... State, National and international events.
Not an issue for non ranked sailors.. BUT a huge issue if a ranked crew sails... Imagine what the fuss would be if the Holland T team sailed and was scrubbed at the olympics because they sailed at the event... Possible yes it has happened.. probable dont know... If I was a ranked sailor I definately would think 4 times before attending.... It's not just ranked sailors, it is anyone with a ISAF sailing number. I have one and so do (to a certain extent) have to be carefull.

Posts: 9,582 North-West Europe | I was asked about alternative camping sites to the Zandvoort event. Now I'm not down with the tourist info of this area but I don remembered a camping site a little outside of the town of zandvoort. It is the camping site vogelenzang and their prices seen very reasonable. (look under the header :"Toeristische plaatsen") http://www.vogelenzang.nl/ned/tarieven.htmThis site is about 8 km from the sailclub and that is a 30 min bike ride. I actually live that far from the club myself and cycle to it quite a few times to the club per year. The bike path you'll take from this site goes through a naturpark and the dunes and so it should be a very pleasant ride. Otherwise you can take your car and do about 8 km (by a different route) that way. Best will be of course if more crews are at this site and you all share one vehicle. Car parking for the whole day just behind the club (100 mm walk) is 6 euro's. 7 days times 6 euro's will be 42 Euro's of car parking for the whole event. The camping site itself is part of an area that is very much like the nature park itself and very pretty. It often reminds me of England and I do like it myself alot. Maybe some of you want to check this alternative our further. Wouter
