Thanks for the feedback re this years date for the Fort Walton/pensacola Round the Island race. It has ben narrowed down to June 16 or 23....any conflicts or reasons you can see not to do it then?

Either is fine as far as I know.
Y'all should check at GYA, which has the calendar that Key Sailing maintains, as well as the other GYA clubs' calendars, for conflicts.
That said. Earlier in the summer is usually better wind.. June 16?

The Daytona Summer Sizzler is probably going to be that weekend, but honestly I don't anyone is going to say boo about it.

I believe that slip to ship is memorial weekend which will put that event on May 26,27 . FWYC respects the tradition of that race and chose not to conflict with it. The RTI will be set several weeks later. Is there another conflcit with OSYC that I am not aware of? Have also checked the GYA schedule from 06 and looks to be open weekend. Bert Rice and team have not gotten the 07 scedule out yet.
We will see.

You're copacetic with OSYC. The two big races are Slip to Ship, 23 yr old, Memorial Day Weekend. The other big race is Island Hop, close to 30 yr old, Fourth July weekend.

I am concidering doing the race next year but I cannot commit yet. I can make the earlier weekend in June but not the later. I have a work schedule conflict that weekend unrelated to sailing.
