Tradewinds video - 01/15/07 07:48 PM

I posted a video clip using the new cam at Tradewinds.

Tradewinds Video

The cam focal length is fixed and as you will see its really zoomed in. We tried the helmet cam but there is just too much movement.

This video is with the cam mounted on the boom. Im going to put together an info page for those that are interested in getting one.

Would you post it in a couple places? Rick's server is hammered. I've been trying now and then for hours and can never get the video. Thanks!

Re: Tradewinds video - 01/16/07 12:55 AM

I just opened it again with no problem. Comes up immediately. It's a really cool video. But everyone wants to see the video of them pitchpoling.

Re: Tradewinds video - 01/16/07 01:52 AM

You can also see it at www.AdventureOnline.tv

The video is from the first race on Saturday. Didnt get the pitchpole in the second race, would have been fun to watch though.

Barb, what browser are you using?

Shawn cam, my patootie... That's Brian cam if I ever saw it...

Good video. Maybe mount one on the back of the boom pointing forward (if you can get wide angle).

How much does the system weigh?

SWEET! I was delighted to see that our best start of the weekend is documented (I've had a tough time with that lately). John and I were the Capricorn just on top of Brian at the beginning of the video.

Re: Tradewinds video - 01/16/07 07:19 PM

Alan,

Try uploading them using the new Adventure Online upload feature.

Heres the link (which can also be found on the video player):
Adventure Online TV Video Upload Window

You have to make an account which just takes a second. It should convert you files to the correct format for you. Let me know how it works.

In the future, you can also click the "Upload Your Video" link in the video player to get to this same page.

Re: Tradewinds video - 01/18/07 04:50 AM

Cheech, I couldn't find the pics. What am I doing wrong? Went to the underground, and went through the pics, but quite a few didn't come up. "No web site" Can you direct me? Brian, seems those Seacats go by another name where you're from! I may start to refer to them as "The Bastards" from now on...For those that missed the scooter incident, this is a reference to I think Jake and Dave interrupting a shoot at the F18 nationals in '05. Trey, just keep the old turnip in the boat! It seems to be working pretty well these days! Just read Ricks nice write up. What a great event!

Re: Tradewinds video - 01/19/07 01:28 PM

I hate it here, (upstate NY) were back from Keys and my boats already buried in snow and I can't get the cover on since it froze in the back of the pickup in my driveway. it's more like a big blue block of ice than a top gun cover! now I'll have to wait for a warm spell to get it back on... probably april. I gotta talk my wife into moving.
